After a decade on the bench of one of the nation’s busiest trial courts and almost 30 years as a commercial litigator, Judge Alan Fine has an innate understanding of what propels cases to resolution and what holds them back. He is a trusted neutral in high-stakes cases with a reputation for operating with fairness, precision and pragmatism.

Judge Fine from the Miami-Dade Circuit’s Complex Business Litigation Division into alternative dispute resolution. As a mediator, arbitrator and private judge under Florida Statute Section 44.104, he helps parties resolve complex business disputes on their own terms by identifying the key issues, facilitating productive dialogue and applying creative strategies to forge a path forward. Judge Fine also serves as a court-appointed receiver in business matters, providing impartial management to safeguard creditor value and maintain stability.

A versatile ADR practitioner, Judge Fine has assisted in resolving disputes involving multinational corporations, public entities and leading private equity firms. He has mediated some of the most high-profile and sensitive matters in the country, including Donald J. Trump et al. v. Facebook Inc. and Mark Zuckerberg, as well as Trump v. ABC News. Judge Fine has represented clients across industries touching multiple areas of the economy, including finance, technology, real estate and media.

A respected figure in the local community, Judge Fine is recognized for his leadership, mentorship and commitment to advancing the practice of law. He has served on the boards of The Children’s Trust and Temple Beth Am, where he also acted as general counsel. He has also coached more than a dozen recreational basketball teams and managed a travel basketball team for three years.
